Services
Three things, all of them about multilingual documents. Most clients start with one and end up using two.
Document automation
Macros and scripts that take the repetitive formatting work out of multilingual production: file preparation before translation, cleanup after it, batch fixes across hundreds of files. On recurring work this has cut average formatting time by 63%.
Multilingual desktop publishing
Foreign language typesetting in over 130 languages including right-to-left, CJK, Indic, South-East Asian and Canadian Indigenous scripts. InDesign, QuarkXPress, FrameMaker and Word, print-ready or press-ready, everything in-house.
Design
Logo transliteration, multilingual brand adaptation, identity and websites. Design that still works after the words change.
Who I work with
Most of my work comes through language service providers who need multilingual layout capacity they do not want to staff in-house, and who would rather deal with one accountable specialist than an account team.
I also work directly with organisations producing material in more than a handful of languages: government, health, education and regulated industries, where the formatting is repetitive, high-volume and unforgiving.
